FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA)
FSA Medical:
This is an optional benefit to help you save for eligible medical expenses as defined by the IRS. You do not have to enroll in a medical plan to be eligible for this benefit. Enrollment in the High Deductible medical plan is not allowed. Funds that are not used in the same plan year are lost. A 2-1/2 month grace period may be available to you. The bi-weekly rate will depend on the annual election amount and the number of remaining pay periods in the plan year.
FSA Dependent Care:
This is an optional benefit to help you save for dependent care expenses as defined by the IRS (up to 13 yrs of age). Daycare and elderly care are examples of eligible expenses. You do not have to enroll in a medical plan to be eligible for this benefit. Funds that are not used in the same plan year are lost. The bi-weekly rate will depend on the annual election amount and the number of remaining pay periods in the plan year.
